Did you know that the school bus is one of the safest vehicles on the road? Less than 1% of all traffic fatalities involve children on school transportation vehicles. However, children are more at risk when approaching or leaving a school bus. Itโs important for all drivers, as well as parents and students, to understand school bus safety. That's the focus of National School Bus Safety Week, an active and evolving public education program urging parents, students, teachers, motorists, school bus operators, school administrators, and other interested parties to join forces and address the importance of school bus safety.
