Our Gator Band performed at South Lake High School today in a Winter Concert. They are an incredibly talented group of students being led by our very own talented Mr. Briggs!

Our Civics Team is ready to ace the test!

Thank you, Ms. Merkle, for your effort on behalf of our children! Having student tutors during Gator-Aid has helped so many. It truly makes an impact. 🌟

Our Gators have earned Gator Bucks for their positive behavior and have redeemed them to attend the December PBIS Event. We watched Prep & Landing while enjoying a cookie and hot chocolate that was prepared by our very own Ms. Claudio and culinary students. Currently we are down 50% in discipline incidents in comparison to last school year. Keep up the great behavior! 🐊

The design and modeling class partnered up with the culinary students to design a cookie cutter and the design and modeling students built them and 3-D printed them. How cool!

Ms. Sanservino's class went around the campus to share some holiday cheer. Thank you! This brightened everyone's day!

Congratulations to all of our Gators that were inducted into the National Junior Honor Society! We are proud of you!

Science Fair and STEAM Night was a hit! Thank you to everyone involved for making it happen. This was a great learning experience for our Gators! 🐊

This week our culinary 6th graders are working with Mr. Groeger’s 7th graders to design and then print out cookie cutters. They will then bake off cookies using the cutters they create. We can't wait to see what they make!

You may have heard the buzz 🐝 coming from Gray Middle School’s auditorium today as we were buzzing with excitement as talented wordsmiths went head to head in an epic showdown of letters, logic, and lots of courage for this year’s school spelling bee!
Congratulations go to our champion, Lincoln Tretter! And a huge shout out to our runner up, Myles Mahone!
All contestants showed incredible focus, flair, and bee-yond impressive language skills! We’re extra proud because last year’s county champion came from GMS - and with talent like this, we know we can bring that title home to the hive again this year. We will all be cheering Lincoln on as he goes for that county title! A huge applause to every participant who stepped up to the mic today. You made this year’s competition truly un-bee-lievable!

In 2020 The Special Elf Mission began. This year they went to schools recognizing teachers that go above and beyond while having strong connections with students. Our Band Director, Mr. Briggs, was recognized today. He received a box full of goodies which had items for his students and for him. This was made possible by the partnership between A Touch Beyond Spa, the Lake County Sheriff's Office, and the Groveland Police Department. Thank you!

PBIS stands for Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports. At Gray Middle, we incorporate PBIS strategies throughout the school year. One way we do this is by teaching students positive behavior. This month's focus is on Empathy & Compassion. Students learned about this important topic today during Thrive Time. We encourage you to talk with your child about it. Thank you for your support of PBIS!
The GMS PTO hosted the 2025 Winter Dance last night and boy, was it fun!
Over 200 kids were in attendance and they were in for a treat! Thank you to our amazing sponsors who came out to support us! We had the most amazing balloon arches (Pop and Rainbow), the most fun Photo Booth (Jessy’s), a hot cocoa bar with cookies and cupcakes (Erin Millburn and Karla Lemus), pizza (Costco), a speeding photographer (Robyn Nelson of Sport Clix Pics)…. And the BEST TIME!
Please consider the wonderful people who support us for your next event! You won’t be disappointed!

Congratulations to the Gray Middle FFA teams! In November they competed at Sub-Districts and placed first. They'll move on to the District Competition in January. Good luck to the teams in Opening and Closing Ceremonies, Prepared Public Speaking, Creed Speaking, and Extemporaneous Speaking. We're proud of your hard work and dedication!

Congratulations to the Gray Middle FFA Citrus Team! They advanced from the preliminary contest to the State competition and on 12/2/25 placed 11th in the State out of 18 teams. Great work - we're proud of your dedication and effort!

Our Gators went to Alto of Clermont assisted living facility. Mr. Moses, Ms. Sanservino, The Builders Club, and YNA Student Ambassadors all had a great time!
