2). Jostens gave a presentation about caps and gowns and other Class of 2026 attire during mohawk time today. If you missed it, you can stop by my room 1-290 of the front office to pick up a packet. You can begin to purchase caps and gowns online now. Jostens will be back on campus on September 3rd, during lunches to take orders in cash, and answer any questions. They will also have samples of all the Class of 26 clothing, decorations, announcements, etc. After September 3rd, sales will be strictly on-line via the website linked below.

5). If you are interested in being involved in Power Puff, either as a player (girls), or a cheerleader (boys), there is an interest meeting on Friday, August 29th, at 2:30 in the 2nd floor south wing.
6). The Homecoming Dance will take place on Saturday, October 11th in the LMHS courtyard. Tickets will be $50 ahead of time and $60 at the door. They will go on sale beginning Monday, September 8th. You can pay in cash before or after school in 1-290, or via go fan. The link and QR code are below.

Help Support Two Beloved Former LMHS Teachers in Their Time of Need 💚💛
Our Hawk family has always been built on care, compassion, and community — and now two of our own need us more than ever.
Douglas Clelland served as the Math Department Head at Lake Minneola High School from 2016 to 2019. He was a dedicated teacher of Precalculus, AP Calculus, and AP Computer Science who went above and beyond for his students — even letting them shave his head and beard at a pep rally to raise money for cancer research. Mr. Clelland also created the first attendance tracking program for Mohawk Time, laying the groundwork for today’s Flex Time system.
Today, Doug's 9-year-old daughter, Adia, has been diagnosed with a brain tumor. Her mother has had to stop working to care for her full-time during treatment. The Clelland family needs our support now as they face the emotional and financial challenges ahead.
Brett Fontenot began his teaching career at East Ridge Middle before joining the founding faculty at Lake Minneola High School in 2012. Known for his gift in the classroom, Brett made a lasting impact on countless students through Algebra and AVID. His passion for teaching and genuine care for every student never went unnoticed.
Brett has recently been diagnosed with throat cancer and will be undergoing daily radiation and weekly chemotherapy in Houston, Texas, for the next few months. This journey is not one he should take alone.
These former Hawks poured their hearts into our school and students — now it’s our turn to give back.
