Specific Material Objection Process

Lake County Schools Specific Material Objection Process provide parents of a public school student or residents of Lake County the opportunity to contest the use of a specific instructional material. (Section 1006.28(2)(a)2., F.S.)

Parents and/or teachers or staff are encouraged to discuss concerns regarding classroom materials with their child’s teacher and or their school administrator.  If the concern is not resolved, the parent, staff member, or an individual who does not have a child who attends a Lake County Schools, may request a district level review as required by Florida Statute 1006.28(2)(a)2 for objections. To request a district level review, please submit the Specific Material Objection form in its entirety.  The form is available at each school or may be submitted online using the electronic form below.
