What you do today impacts someone's tomorrow. Bullying is not only devastating while it's happening, it can hurt for a lifetime.

Thank you, St. Thomas Episcopal, for being a great community partner! For over 65 years, St. Thomas Episcopal Thrift Shop has been contributing to the community by providing grants amounting to thousands of dollars annually. This year, Eustis Elementary received a $2,500 grant to support student needs, such as funding for field trips, shoes, clothing, and more. Additionally, Eustis Elementary launched the Girls on the Run program, an afterschool curriculum focused on teaching empathy, managing emotions, choosing friends wisely, and supporting one another, all while engaging in physical activity. Each fall and spring season concludes with a non-competitive 5K event. St. Thomas awarded Girls on the Run Club $700 to assist with transportation, snacks, and other necessities. #LCSCommunityPartners

Did you know that the school bus is one of the safest vehicles on the road? Less than 1% of all traffic fatalities involve children on school transportation vehicles. However, children are more at risk when approaching or leaving a school bus. It’s important for all drivers, as well as parents and students, to understand school bus safety. That's the focus of National School Bus Safety Week, an active and evolving public education program urging parents, students, teachers, motorists, school bus operators, school administrators, and other interested parties to join forces and address the importance of school bus safety.
